About the Artist

Armando "Mondo" Roque, known as @dreamsofrobots, is an accomplished artist and toy designer based in Fullerton, CA. Renowned for his innovative approach and leadership in creative direction and product design, he has successfully developed over a billion units of consumer goods, collaborating with major licensors on a wide range of products from value items to high-end collectibles.

Early in his career, Mondo specialized in premium promotions, developing Kids’ Meal toys and play patterns for top entertainment brands such as Disney, NBCUniversal, Paramount, Warner Bros. Discovery, Netflix, Sony, Hasbro and Mattel. His designs elevated these brands and created memorable consumer experiences.

Mondo's work with leading toy companies like Spin Master and Super7 includes contributions to iconic brands such as Star Wars, Transformers, G.I. Joe, TMNT, ThunderCats, SilverHawks, Godzilla, Bakugan, and more. At Spin Master, he developed the advanced animatronic RC toy, Hero Droid BB-8, and at Super7, he brought authenticity to nostalgia brands, blending retro aesthetics with modern design. He also reinvigorated interest in existing figure formats like Super Cyborgs, pouring imaginative details and creative reveals into each design.

He recently announced the successful completion of his Kickstarter campaign featuring his owned IP, Siege Fortress Iron Berserker, formatted into a premium collector vinyl art toy, inspired by the iconic Japanese "Super Robot" genre. Thanks to the incredible support from backers, the funding goal was exceeded.

Approaching every project with childlike wonder, Mondo believes in creating products that tell a story and create lasting memories.
